Companies see your trip details, including your date, group size, budget and the notes you write, so leave your phone and email out of the notes. Your name, email and phone are shared with the company you book only after you pay the deposit.

No. Companies don't get your phone number or email unless you book their offer and pay the deposit. We email you when your offers are ready and about your request. We text you only if you agree to get texts from us in the chat. If you stop before sending it, our team may contact you to help.

From the booking you choose. You pay a 5% booking fee, shown in the total before you pay, and the company you book pays us 8% of the full price. Sending a request is free, and we don't sell your request or your contact details to companies.

Most Miami captained charters are priced for 4 hours or more. Rough market estimates before crew tip and our 5% booking fee: small boats about $580–$1,250; mid-size cruisers about $1,500–$3,500; larger yachts about $3,500–$12,000. Size, date, duration and extras move the number. Plan for a 15–20% crew tip on top; some companies also charge docking fees, fuel for long or fast runs, sales tax or a card fee. These are labelled market estimates, not a DESEO quote or a marketplace “from $X/hr” rate. The request form shows the bands before you send; each offer shows its own total.

A typical captained charter price often covers the boat, captain (and crew on larger boats), local fuel and basic gear such as a sound system and life vests. Crew tip (usually 15–20%), food, drinks, décor, a photographer, jet skis, docking fees, sales tax and card fees are often separate. Read each offer’s inclusions before you pay — companies differ.

Yes. Sending a request and getting offers costs you nothing. You pay only after you accept an offer: a deposit toward the rental, plus our 5% booking fee. You see both numbers before you confirm.

You pay the deposit when you accept an offer, through Stripe — not when you send the request. The deposit is half the rental price including selected extras, with a $500 minimum, capped at that full price. The full 5% booking fee is due with the deposit. You can pay the balance online through us until the day before the booking (Miami time), or to the company on the day. Deposit refunds follow your offer’s cancellation terms. The booking fee is refunded only if the company cancels or cannot provide what it offered. See the total, amount due today and balance before paying.

Your offer shows the rental price and selected extras, plus our 5% booking fee, as one total — with amount due today and the remaining balance — before you pay. We do not add surprise platform fees at checkout. Inclusions, tip, docking and any company card fee still depend on the offer; read that screen before confirming.

Usually not. A 15–20% crew tip is customary in Miami and sits on top of most charter prices, similar to tipping a server. Some companies build gratuity into the quote; when they do, it should be written on the offer. Confirm before you pay.

Different fleets, different overhead, different availability on your date. Instead of guessing if you got a fair price, you see multiple real offers side by side and pick the one that fits.

Captained charters come with experienced captains and crew members. Before you book, you can ask our team for the captain's details for the offer you choose. Exotic cars, jet skis and vacation homes don't come with a captain.

Companies provide insurance information when applying. Coverage depends on the company and rental category. Ask our team to confirm the coverage for the offer you are considering.

If the company cancels or cannot provide what it offered, we refund everything you paid through DESEO, including the booking fee. Contact our team for help with the booking and available alternatives; a replacement is not guaranteed.

On DESEO you pay a written offer through Stripe Checkout to book — not a personal account from an Instagram DM or WhatsApp. Review the offer, total and cancellation terms before paying. Your phone and email stay off what companies see until the deposit clears. Contact our team if anything is unclear.

Companies apply with business and insurance information. Our team reviews the application and must approve the company before it can submit offers. That approval is not a blanket claim about captain credentials or a specific policy on every boat — ask us about the category-specific details for an offer before booking.
